Zaira Belen Aguilar is a Mexican-American filmmaker from Los Angles, California. From a young age, she discovered her voice through filmmaking. She decided she wanted to further the education in cinema after winning a director’s award at the National High School Journalism Convention. She continued her cinema studies at Santa Monica college, collaborating on various film projects and discovered her love for post-production. While Zaira would work on sets during the weekends, on the weekdays she was busy running her own non-profit film program for underprivileged youth at Sun Valley Middle school.
After graduating with honors from Santa Monica College she received an academic scholarship to continue her film studies at San Francisco State University. In her first year, she was accepted into the 56th annual SFSU film finals festival, for her comedic documentary, Savages. In 2017 she was one of the sixteen students to be admitted into the university’s year-long thesis program. She wrote, directed, and edited her short narrative film, Dear Bella.
Dear Bella was awarded the prestigious Robin Eickman Cinema Student Scholarship for her directing and editing style. Zaira graduated cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Cinematic Arts with an emphasis in Film Production. She continues to collaborate on projects as an editor and colorist.
Hey There! I’m Sidney Karr! You already know I do acting, so here’s a bit of background information about me! I am 12 years old and I love creative writing. I write stories, fairy tales, and tall tales in my free time. I even had a book sale once!
I love reading as well, and much much much of my time is spent with my nose in a book. Rock climbing is also one of my top things to do, I do it a lot. I love climbing rock walls in rock climbing gyms or sometimes even in nature! I also like the outdoors, going to the beach, hiking, swimming, exploring and camping under the stars!
Musical theatre acting is also very fun. I have been in the musicals Seussical Jr, Peter Pan Jr and just finished my first lead role as Lynn in Madagascar with Spark of Creation Studio.
Justin Vong is a cinematographer with a passion for capturing moments eternally through a lens. He was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema. Whether the camera is over one hundred years old or brand new, Justin is just happy to expose his story as he sees it.
Combining classical composition with electronic sound manipulation, Thomas Soto strives to create impactful music for modern audiences. Thomas is currently finishing a degree in “Technology and Applied Composition” at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. During his education, he has had the pleasure of learning from movers in the industry, such as Austin Wintory, Laura Karpman, Jonathan Meyer, and Mike Morasky. Through a holistic understanding of the production process, from composition to mixing and mastering, Thomas seeks to provide a unified sonic experience. He has worked for many different clients ranging from up incoming student filmmakers to big corporations.
Thomas’ passion for composition stems from his years as a performer. He plays Trombone, euphonium, piano, and percussion. Recently Thomas has aged out from performing in the Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corp. His experience in it is shown in his unique style of composition, and his use of brass.
Eva Malek is a filmmaker and video editor with a passion for creating stories that use both meaningful and unconventional images. As a native of Costa Rica, she moved to the U.S in 2013 to pursue her career in film and graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Cinema in the spring of 2018.
Over the past 6 years, Eva has written and directed multiple short films as well as collaborated in a wide variety of independent projects as a producer, cinematographer, and editor. She is currently focused on expanding her editing and motion design skills, while working as a full-time video editor in San Francisco.

Eddie Aguilar grew up in Los Angeles and quickly picked up video editing and compositing through education and while working on personal and commercial projects. This allowed him to earn a scholarship to Otis College of Art and Design Summer of Arts program, where he further received formal training.
Graduating with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration emphasizing in Entrepreneurship, he started exploring possibilities for new ventures through Hackathons and Startup competitions using video production to tell his product’s story. During that time he also worked with others as a Small Business and I.T. consultant further honing his craft and business acumen.
Today, Eddie lives in San Francisco working in the Financial Services Industry. He continues to look for opportunities to collaborate and help others with their projects and business to continue fostering consistent learning and development.
